DESCRIPTION

Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) handling training consists of instruction in the handling, transportation and interaction of hazardous substances. Introduces the best practices for handling of hazardous materials including solids, liquids, gases, and methods used in their identification. Examines the use, handling, transportation, and environmental problems associated with hazardous materials.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this course is to provide the participants with a solid foundation and understanding of the hazardous materials incident management system, examining the necessary issues needed to mitigate a hazmat incident.

OBJECTIVES

After successful completion of this course the participants will :

1. Have an in depth understanding of hazardous materials management and all of the components which are needed to successfully mitigate any critical situation.
2. Provide an introduction to the scope of hazardous substances and the problems they pose at the work places
3. Improve the skills of participants in recognizing hazards and preventive safety work practices in relation of the transportation, storage, production and use of chemicals material
4. Improve the skills of information retrieval and convey information to workers, employers and government officials
